Will vaccines save us? Will we stop wearing masks and washing hands and social distancing? (Hopefully we’ll never stop washing hands.)

Unfortunately, I don’t think so.

Rather, I think mitigation is the way of the future.

Perhaps some day they will figure out a way to get rid of all disease and infection. Not sure I’m going to see that in my lifetime.

I think I will see evidence of mitigation at check in, though, to include machines that disinfect bags and shoes.

Maybe UV light sanitation devices in the guest rooms.  (Great idea, right? Look at your P&L and consider that extra 15 minutes. Ugh.) 

Definitely food and beverage featuring “grab and run” selections. 

Take this seriously–it could be good news. Might mitigation create a reason for group to come to your hotel? I think so.

Can mitigation be sold as a way of increasing occupancy? Perhaps offsetting the cost of it.

I think so.
